Here is a look at the island light I ordered today for the kitchen. It is coming along nicely. I really hate being in a construction zone in the heart of the home, but it is going to be EPIC. I can't wait for the finished product, it is like waiting for Christmas. Our old kitchen was 80's style.
Here is a pic of the new island light.

Gotta Love Craigslist
We needed to get a dresser in the worst way for our son Noah. I didn't want to buy a new one, because of the cost. I searched on craigslist for about 2 weeks when I saw the one we got. It was an oak dresser painted blue with nice pulls on it. It was only $30.00. It goes perfect with his car themed room, and is so spacious and nice. AWESOME!

Tile Choice
Here is a sneak peek at the tile we picked out for our back splash in the kitchen. It is the bomb.
I don't know if you all watch Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, if you don't you are missing out. The point of why I mentioned it is because the new restaurant SUR that Lisa Vanderpump opened is so fabulously decorated, so is her house.

Oh my, the fabulousness!

Christmas Time
I know I am a little late at sharing this, but was busy with little ones. I must say I wasn't that big of fan of Christmas decor this year. I feel like our house is too small for a Christmas tree in the living room. It was actually super annoying. I wanted to keep the tree retro, so we went with colored big bulb lights, garland, and tinsel.(yes I said it) When it came time to put up the tinsel it was great, the kids were just chucking it on there. It was a great memory, but after that it was nothing but a big mess. Here are some pics.
Yes that beauty above is me new record player, love it! It was a great Christmas, and it was great taking all that Christmas stuff down in the morning and getting back to normal.

Copy Cat
I wanted to take a try at this project I saw on Living with Lindsay. I had some open frames already hung, I just went down to my hoarders storage room in the house and found a couple of frames to make it more 3D. I love it!
In picture number two you can see the fabulous turquoise vintage lamp I got a few months ago.
I am so psyched! We are ordering our new tile for the kitchen today. Tom and I agreed on one, and of course it's more expensive than we wanted, but it's perfect. We are trying to keep this kitchen makeover under $1500.00, we will see how it goes.

Hold on Tight
My house is under some renovations that I will be documenting along the way and posting. I have many new things to share. I threw my back out on New Year's eve picking up my little one in her car seat. Major pain! If any of you have some tips for my back please be so kind and share them. So be on the look out for me getting back into blogging.
