I was like I must have that color in my life. I have always loved that color because I love St. Patrick's day, and it's one color that I actually don't think I look terrible in. I got in the van, picked up my Mom, and was on my way to Jo Ann fabrics. I told her I wanted to put Kelly green curtains in my newly designed porch. She thought that sounded really ugly, but I was determined. I got the material, with coupon in hand, I think the material was like $15.00. It is a green satin, but I think I like the other side of the material better. It is a matte green, as opposed to shiny. I raced home, and ran to the porch and started placing them up there to get a feel what it would look like. This is what I saw.
It was getting towards the end of summer then, so I decided I would wait to put them up till this spring/summer. I don't know why, but my enthusiasm sort of died down once I got them. It is something to look forward to though. FYI.. We don't use the porch in the winter, because it costs to much to heat this room full of windows, with oil prices through the roof.
I was thrilled when I saw that green was the Pantone color of year. I think it will be a pleasant change in there. Can't wait to get my paws on the porch again, and can't wait for warmer weather!
